Anyone here who can offer advice on primary schools, places to play badminton, swim (other than sea!), gyms - or anything really.

I'd be interested too Wendy as we have organised a houseswap holiday in Downderry which isn't too far from there so would like to know what to visit or not visit etc. R

Pecorama, donkey sanctuary, Crealy Adventure park - all if your children are primary age.

Rhiannon - I currently live close enough to know a bit about facilities for children but not close enough to know about school. If you say what age cchildren I'll go into more detail but only get net access infrequently at present. I forgot the Tram - if you have a bird watcher in the family the estuary is good for birds. There are also caves at Beer but I haven't been there. The donkey sanctaury is free (donations requested) and children can stroke (but not ride) the donkeys. We did itch rather a lot after one visit though........There's also Country Life at Exmouth which has some vaguely educational bits as well as trampolines, big slide, ride-ons toddlers/go-karts for older ones and play area.
