What can I get DH for his 30th?

Its not til July so i've got a bit of time.

He's not really into jewellry (sp?) but he already has a nice watch.

Something sentimental perhaps? Thoughtful rather than being expensive?

Or a personalised no plate, something like that?

What do you think?

I took DH to Amsterdam for the weekend, they have some really good deals on cheap weekends away

Does he have any hobbies? Any rare books you could try and get on ebay or something?

We went to Amsterdam last year, and I a hoping we may be on holiday for his bday this year.

He likes golf, going to the gym, thats about it (god he sounds really boring!).

He doesn't read often.

Good suggestions tho. Keep em coming cos I am crap!

I s'pose a few hundred quid, if its something really nice he can keep (like the number plate idea).

He has bought be some lovely jewellry before and a watch that was v expensive, so I should repay the compliment!

I'm getting a portrait photographer (one of these trendy/arty type ones to do a special pic of our two little treasures with me). Have got until end of July to lose some blubber. It's going to cost about £300 (eek) but you end up with a few really fantastic photos. I shall ask for a soft focus lense to be trained on me!

DH is very sentimental so will hand over box of hankies together with pics.

WHy do us saddos know about golf courses - are yours all raving about it too??

DP has spent the day trying to figure out when at the weekend to play golf - he is trying to avoid the lightening - little does he know I am putting a piece of copper wire down the side of his golf club if he has booked more than one round!!!!!

You could all (or just both of you) go away for long weekend to somewhere swish with good golf course. Treat him to a round of golf, and maybe a lesson from the pro there. You can get pro lessons which take videos to analyse his shots and how to improve, etc. Then can have nice meal, stay over, etc.

Yes Twinkie my dh is totally and utterly addicted to the damn game. If he's not playing golf he's talking about it, or watching it, or reading golf world or practising his swing.

4 hours for 18 holes - bloody ridiculous IMO.

Some lesson/tuition golf weekends heer . Also do weekend breaks, etc. I am sure there are loads of companies that do them too.

Oooohhhh northerner - shame you don't live nearer could send them off andget drunk if I wasn't pregnant!!

I get scared he is going to kill me sometimes but he is just practsiing swinging!! - he HAS to play this weekend (also go to the footie) as he has a tournament and if he doesn't play (horror of fucking horrors) it means the world might end and his opponent will get awarded the match - oh and his opponent gets to choose when he plays no matter how bloody inconveient it is to his family!! GGGGGRRRRR - the rules are bloody stupid.

I agree the rules are mad. And how much does it cost to play this game? Membership fees, golf clubs (why do they need a whole bag full?), caps, tees, clothes, waterproofs, shoes. Wish I had a hobby where i culd spend this much!

Ok, he likes golf, but he's not completly mad about it. He just likes a game every other Sumday.

I think we will be on hold for his bday and our first wedding anniversary which is the week before, so I was hoping for a pressie I could 'give' him.

The photos idea is nice but I was going to wait for this baby to be born and have swish ones done of our two children then.
