Help ! things beginning with 'O'

Right, feeling a bit dense today - my ds has got to take into school something beginning with 'O' - I haven't got any oranges in the house (but can buy one on my way to school if need be) we don't own an octopus or otter - I just can't think. Any suggestions - he has to be there by 12.30 so I'm running out of time.

keep him off and tell them he took the option... of a day off

I am going to look the biggest pratt ever - I have just made my omelette, now waiting for it to cool. I don't believe I am doing this - I'm certainly going to be the talk of the school staff room, I'll let you know about 1.30 whether I did it or not... I don't think I can do it for the sake of my kids, all the teachers will think oh thats so and so, she/he's the one with the weird mother.

The teachers will love it gold123 - they are always having to plan 'weird stuff' for the kids, you've saved them a job! AND they'll know your interested and committed to what goes on it school

Well I chickened out, I took it with me and was pondering in the playground what to do, all the other mothers were taking it very seriously with their Octopus's (there were 6 octopus's), I went in and handed over my onion and did say to the teacher that I had made an omlette - she just looked at me and said oh you should have made two, we haven't had our lunch yet. I know I should have and probably would have if 'O' had been the letter in 5 or so weeks time, but not in his first week at school. I think if I had it would have been one of those things that would have woke me up at 2am thinking 'I don't believe I did that' Don't know the letter for next week yet, will keep you posted.
