I have exactly the same problem charliecat!! Every morning involves having to go around the house wiping windows!

I know the problem in our house is ventilation - we live in an old house and there are no ventilation bricks. The windows are double glazed but they don't have trickle vents.

Weve resigned ourselves to the fact that it's something we'll have to live with. We do have a couple of de-humidifiers though which we pop on for a couple of hours when things get really bad. they seem to work - it's amazing how much water they collect!!

I have 2 mini dehumidifiers whirring now Thought I might be able to do something about it.
My mum says she knows someone who doesnt get condensation, they have the heating on 24/7 and never pull curtains.
Not very eco friendly and my purse couldnt take it, wonder if its true of just good double glazing or something?

I read this as 'every window in the house dripping with condemnation'
Thought, crikey, I've heard of the guilt of motherhood but this is excessive

Give the house a good airing 2-3 times a day - all windows wide open (as far as safety/practicalities allow). You shiver for 15 minutes but it does help.

It just means your house is much warmer inside than the cold night air. You do just need to air it during the day either with the windows open on the latch or wide for a little time. I've got a condensation window scraper which we use when it's really bad too. Drying clothes inside makes it worse but that's the reality of life I think!

you can wipe them with a tiny bit of washing up liquid to stop it happening but windows will be a bit smeary when dry

iv had condensation on my windows the last few nights but only on the windows that dont have the trickle vents open (they seem to cause such a draft overnight, i keep the living room ones closed but close the bedroom ones), its jsut where its warm and moist inside and very cold outside.

think de humidifyers is that best option, cant offer much advice really!
