is there anything BEFORE the Rainbows? as just curious as my dd is 25 mths old since yesterday and is into everything and very confident too but i know she is too young atm or is she?

no, there is nothing before Rainbows, which starts at six I think.
but what about something else, ballet or swimming or tap?

Dancing normally starts around 3 years.

my dd1 does toddler tap, which is pretty jolly and not pressured.
ballet starts at about 2.5 but it is a bit serious for me

Ds is about to start Beavers, some of the other boys in his Y2 class go, and I was told yesterday that as Rainbows is full, Beavers will be taking girls as well - not sure how I feel about that, tbh. Bet Rainbows wouldn't take boys.

Jodee, legally speaking, they both have to be open to both sexes. I know what you feel when it comes to girls joining Beavers. I sold Beavers to my sons originally by telling them it was a special club for boys so I wasn't best pleased when it started admitting girls...

My DD did gymnastics (gymbore style) and still goes loves it. Parents took part and it was great fun. At this age an activity you take part in too is a good idea, DD does dance now but not as young as 2.

Hi (I'm new, and a Brownie leader). Brownies and Rainbows don't allow boys (and no they don't have to by law, because they're not a publically funded body so can have their own rules about who can join). Scouts/Cubs/Beavers have allowed girls for a few years but Guides/Brownies/Rainbows still have their girls-omly policy and there's no sign of that changing 9which I think is a good thing .

The way cubs etc allow girls is, IMO, completely wrong.
