Hi all, this is the first time I have used mumsnet, it has been highly recommended by friends of mine! I am looking for fresh new ideas for stalls at our school christmas fayre this year. This is the third year I have organised the fayre and having 3 children to run around after means I have little time to be creative and invent new stalls! This is where I thought members of mumsnet may be able to help me! Please post any ideas for stalls based within the age range of 4 - 12 year olds. Many thanks, look forward to using mumsnet on a regular basis!!

We charge 30p a go on the money tree.

Use small brown envelopes (make sure you can't see through them!!)

Make a hole at the top and thread through a piece of wool and hang all the envelopes on a small table top christmas tree.

Buyer picks envelope at random.

Check how much is in each envelope.

Can also use chocolate coins as well (kids love this).

Another one we have is a big christmas tree cut out of green felt.

On this you sew lots of smaller felt shapes like christmas bells, baubles etc.

On the back of each decoration you place a folded tombola ticket.

Stick the whole tree to a piece of hardboard.

Each ticket costs a £1.00

Prize every time. All prizes are donated by parents/pupils.

You make loads of money on this one.

Depending on how many decorations you stitch on.

For prize donation, we hold a mufti day, (all children wear whatever they want to school for a day).

On the condition that they bring a good quality item that can be used at the xmas bazaar.

adopt an animal is great! We were going to do something similar with the kids pulling a strong and getting th esoft toy on the end of it but adoption idea is better.

We had big success with chocolate fountain at Easter. One of the teachers had one, I put up maybe £20 for choc, fruit, skewers etc and took at least £50 at 50p a skewer (with, say, a strawberry and a bit of satsuma on) to dip in. Could've taken mor ecash but I ran out of fruit.

Very messy tho!
