Cr*p wording on Stage 1 weaning food.

I'm going to write to Organix and take them to task over their wording which states "ideal from 4 months" and nothing else. Which it isn't since the ideal is to exclusively breastfeed for 6 months. (or, I assume formula feed for 6 months)

Now, before you jump on me from a great height about maternal choice blah de blah, look at these wordings from Ella's Kitchen and Plum Baby...

"The government advises that you don't need to wean your baby until 6 months. If you choose to wean earlier, my ingredients are suitable from 4 months"

"Department of Health advice is that you do not need to wean your baby until 6 months. however, if you choose to wean earlier, these ingredients are suitable from 4 months"

Both these are pretty much perfect really. Can't complain about them (bar the large "from 4 months" on the front of the Ella's Kitchen one - just putting "stage 1 weaning" would have sufficed - they have this underneath the 4 month bit. But I'll let that go... )

Also, Organix have switched their food to yoghurt pot style tubs rather than nice, easily recyclable glass. How stupid is that?

I've always thought of myself as a random internet nutter anyway

My last post didn't come out too well... buy by "also the crappy labelling" I meant that when you have taken the cardboard off the 4 packs you just have ingredients and no actual product title on them DH isn't bright enough to look for bananas instead of blueberries.

When I say "I don't have a probem with eary weaning" I mean if that's what others want to do, that's fine. Obviously when DSs were weaned it was under the "4 months" advice so I have a different perspective on it. It doesn't seem wrong to me for babies to be weaned from 4 months old because tat's what my older chidren were weaned at.
