suncream for sensitive skin

Can anyone recommend a good suncream for dd1, age 3? She's got dry, sensitive skin - she reacted to the Simple stuff I put on her this morning. I'm not bothered how expensive it is as long as it works!

nothing better IMO than Dr Hauschka
their children's suncream is "a mineral sunscreen, free of synthetic sunscreens, preservatives, colour and fragrance. It is ideal for sensitive skin and unlike synthetic sunscreens, mineral sunscreens begin protecting immediately upon application to the skin" It's really good, I just think that the ones you buy in the shops are, quite frankly full of crap!

buy here

E45 do a good, gentle suncream, not too expensive either. It does tend to lift off if the skin gets sweaty though, so you might have to keep applying it. I usually get it from Boots.

The only high street brand my sensitive two can take is Ambre Solaire. Katierockets link looks good though;

Hi, kando!

There have been threads about this earlier - I've found 2 - here and here - lots of suggestions. There may be more but these 2 had suncream in the title. HTH!

Another one!

Last post from me (promise!) - you can now get the Aussie Sunsense cream over here (couldn't last summer, Twink very kindly organised a bulk order from Aus for a few of us) and their Low Irritant is meant to be The Best.

Sunsense UK website
Effective Care website (on-line ordering, £2 delivery) (also has Roc, P20 and others)
Typharm.com - phone/mail order, doesn't mention delivery charge.

kando my dd has eczema and I use Proderm on her - here is what the Talk Eczema.com website has to say about it

I believe it was originally developed as an eczema treatment. It is a mousse and is absorbed in seconds without any of that white stuff hanging around. It lasts for 6 hours. In fact I bought some factor 30 for dd in waitrose today, it was £11.99

funny you should mention that CD, as I was looking at exactly that in the chemists today - I was going to ask if anyone had tried it and what they thought of it. Thanks to Janh and her links, I see that a few others have recommended it. I think I may just give it a go - I like the sound of the mousse, as it must be easier to apply than the thick creams you get for the higher factors, and dd1 always kicks off when I have to really rub it in!

someone did say that it's hard to apply in a strong wind as is a mousse but I have never found this!
