Any suggestions please.

We are having a party in our garden in July to celebrate our marriage and there will be 30 plus children ranging in age from 1 to 14 years!!

We are considering hiring an prof childrens' entertainer. Anyone know of a good one in the east Surrey area?

We can also set aside a small room downstairs for TV/videos/dvds.

I'd be really grateful for any other suggestions, tips etc. Thanks

Sorry, can't give you any entertainers names, but have you thought about getting a bouncy castle? Fun for the adults as well (after a few glasses of wine!) This is what we are planning to do with DD's christening in August, as there will be a huge amount of children there. Video room - excellent idea.

Congrats on your upcoming nuptials BTW

We had a summer party last year to celebrate lots of different things and had about 50 adults and 30 kids from 1 year to 18 years we are very lucky and had a big garden so we hired a ball pond for the little ones, a large bouncy castle for the 5yrs to 50 years and a bucking bronco which also changed to a surf rider it was brilliant and everyone had a great time, i used a company in E17 but their are loads of companies out their and if you surf alone you can get some pretty good deals. Good luck and have a great party!!

Thanks - bouncy castle is a great idea and I love the ball pond suggestion.

I was also thinking about some kind of goody bag, appropriate to age, to be given on arrival -basically something to keep them occupied and happy. Again, any ideas??!!

skipping ropes, Top Trump cards, any space for a chalked out hop-scotch? beach balls (softer than having big footballs around)

What about hiring a boucy castle?

If you fancy bubbles, I can recommend the ELC bubble machine. Pours out loads and loads of them and children love chasing them about. Also, at the moment a lot of ELC's outdoor toys - cricket sets, golf sets, balls, bats and balls, egg and spoon sets, jumping bags, etc. are on 3 for 2 .

a clever friend of mine hid (not too hidden) sweets all over the garden and got all the kids doing a treasure hunt as soon as they arrived it worked a treat and got them all relaxed really quickly. Only prob was that she did chocolate and it was hot so all the kids ended up covered in melted chocolate so maybe stick to sweets.
