Why am I so bloody tired today???

I'm normally a fairly sleepy person, but today seems sooo much worse.

Anyone want two children for an afternoon??

no, sorry

me too - i blame prime suspect. was supposed to have had an early night last night. friend told me i looked like shit this morning (actually she said "you look tired", which as we all know means "you look like shit" )

Rosyspookily · 23/10/2006 12:59

How old are they , would they be capable of looking after my 2 wee ones who each woke 3 times last night at separate times [huge yawn emoticon]

Flamebat · 23/10/2006 13:08

Depends how you feel about an 8 month old and a 3 yr old caring for your children?

Rosyspookily · 23/10/2006 13:22

Mine are 3 and 22mths so they would all have a ball trashing together! I do have a 15 yo due home about 4ish, wondering how much I need to bribe him to mind the wee ones while I zzzzzzz

Flamebat · 23/10/2006 13:29

No-one here til half five, and oodles to do between then and when I need to go out at half seven, so probably no naps for me until bedtime... unless I can convince DD to play quietly when DS has a sleep later, and I get a few mins on the sofa??

Rosyspookily · 23/10/2006 13:39

You have to go out at 7.30oh well you might need to resort to lots of food to give you energy. Don't think I'll have a chance to nap either so 7.30 is when I'll be trying to make everyone sleep so I can go to bed-wonderfull-bed...What a way to spend the day, dreaming of bed time!

NastyNemo666 · 23/10/2006 13:51

Shattered here too although thats because Dh went away to newcastle yesterday till thurs andDs then threw up twice last night. Nothing wrong with him now but showering him and changing bed clothes did not make for a restful night. Follow that by having to get both ds and dd up and dressed to leave house for 8am so could drop them at pil to go for stupid glucouse tolerance test which I knew would show my sugar levels as normal..am not a happy bunny!!! Am hoping to get both Dc to sleep in a little bit.

Notquitesotiredmum · 23/10/2006 14:20

I have only had 3 nights sleep in the last 3 years! DS2 has awful excema and wakes scratching. He then wakes at 6am full of life. We're down to one waking a night, and as long as I get in with him, I can get him off again within an hour, but I just dream of more sleep. (My name used to be Verytiredmum, but that was when he woke three or four times a night.) No rellies to leave the dss with for a night or two. Longing for the day when they are old enough to do sleep overs!

Huge sympathy for everyone else feeling as tired as I am!

theHAUNTEDhazelnut · 23/10/2006 14:33

Over tired here too Flame. DS1 has been waking up early (5am ish) he normaly wakes 6:30/7am I could just go to sleep now.

Tutter I recorded prime suspect lastnight, I was going to bed but was talking on MSN and the time just went so fast and it was soon 12 am

Flamebat · 23/10/2006 15:09

Argh NQSTM! It is stories like yours that make me think I am lucky to have only had 8 months or so without sleep!!!

Had a quick half hour (I think... it might have been more). DS slept, and DD watched tv soooo nicely.

Hope you all get some sleep too!!

On very strong coffee now

Thanks for the sympathy Flamebat! I don't actually mind getting up once a night most of the time - there are still always others worse off, and it won't be for long now. Things are improving. But every now and then (like now, when dh is unwell) I just don't seem to have enough energy for everything - it's then that a good dose of sympathy helps loads. Good ol' MN!

Wishing everyone lots of good sleep tonight.

Charleesunnysunsun · 23/10/2006 20:16

Super tired here to

I feel for you i really do! I live in front of a dairy farm where the farmer has 500 cows most of which are in labour all night for the last few days, all they do is groan and moo and keep me awake, and what with being 36 weeks pg im in a fab mood anyway, i feel like screaing out the window to 'give those fu*king cows and epidural!'

I would go to bed but the pikeys down the road are having a huge firework bash in there garden............. bloody fantastic!

Flamebat · 24/10/2006 00:39

Well DS decided that it was a bright idea to sleep from 5.30pm - 10.30pm We are now still up...

It ain't gonna be happening tomorrow I can tell ya that! Even if I have to keep poking him to keep him awake!!!

DD will still be waking at 7am though

At least its not pregnant cows though...

redshoes · 24/10/2006 18:34

Charlee at moaning cows! I'm tired too - dd3 22 months has somehow slipped into waking about 11pm, coming into our bed, kicking us all night then getting up at 6am. I KNOW I need to do sleep training (again)...but I'm just too tired....
