with the guardianista contingent and/or overly PC stuff. There are rarely discussions - just opinions - and there are more opinions of the above.

i think that MN raises the perfect parent syndrome to new heights. where its ok to culturally exclude your children from school - becuase not watching telly is better than having friends and nice childhood memories. to being trounced on( en masse not just one poster) for daring to say that breastfeeding during an appraisel wasn't appropriate - until mears said something similar.
on most issues i'm not even extreem but rather just plain or blunt.
But whats got to me recently is not people i have never heard of ( so this isn't a newbies spoil MN moan) but people i remember making badges for at last years xmas do. i respect others opinions and have often had mine changed on political or topical subjects due to intelligent debate. but thats very rare these days. in favour of blatent personal comments ( towards me and others) the belittling of opinions with a "oh custy ...!"

i thought it was just me. but is not. every other thread is just hysterical these days.

oh and just to answer the obvious questions.

  1. the point is i wanted to say it
  2. simply stating " oh custy" is not going to be very original or indeed appropriate - however expected in leiu if originality.
  3. no its not pmt or anything between the lines

The paranoid bit of me is thinking, does she mean me. Whilst the paranoid bit of me is thinking I miss everything these days. I'm a Guardianista. I agree with much that you post Custy. I haven't even seen a thread on b-feeding in an appraisal. The paranoid bit of me is thinking that this all sounds a bit like Oh Custy.(as well as wondering if she'lltell me off for loosing my badge...)

Heathcliffscathy · 22/10/2006 23:38

not me who's pissed you off????

i hope not

fwiw, you are lovely too btw.

is it really different now to how it was last year/year before/year before that???

SherlockLGJ · 23/10/2006 12:49

I still have my badge, it is stuck up in my bedroom.

FrannyandZooey · 23/10/2006 12:54

Well I love reading your posts Custy and I expect I do annoy you sometimes

But I am very glad to hear you are staying around

Piffle · 23/10/2006 13:12

Custy your bluntness and originality of expression is one of the most redeeming features of this website currently IMHO
Whether I agree with you or not, I always get a lot out of your posts, and I'm not being sycophantic for the hell of it
I would miss you should you remove your opinions xx

WelshBoris · 23/10/2006 13:14

i feel the same,i just cant be bothered at the moment

all a bit pants

MwaHaHappyDaddy · 24/10/2006 14:33

Custy and WB, I have stopped posting so much lately. This place seems to be a bit sad, lately. Some of the threads that have kicked off are really over nothing. I still look but tend to come on here less and less.

Not that I'll be missed much,

Rhubarb · 24/10/2006 14:39

I disagree!
