how long did you use bodysuits for (rather than vests)?

i love em, because they keep the nappy all neat and tidy - find it slips down with just trews on. but marks ones only go up to age 3. ds (17mo) is long in the body and already wearing age 2-3 so not sure what we'll do next.

Stopped using them with DD when she was about 2. CertAINLY NEVER HAD ANY BIGGER THAN 18-24 MON THS. (Ooops - sorry for caps!)

Furball · 20/10/2006 10:46

You'll find just by the time they are growing out of them, along comes potty training, so you won't need them anymore! - same thing happened to me.

LemonTart · 20/10/2006 10:46

As soon as mine wriggled and were a pain to dress I binned them! Hated fiddling with those annoying poppers! Much easier to tuck in a long T shirt once they move a lot.

CaptainCavemansMummy · 20/10/2006 10:46

Used them til ds was 2 but is now potty trained so will have to find normal vests for winter.

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 20/10/2006 10:47

Agree with Furball - once they're doing potty training, they can't really wear them, so they become redundant, sadly.

Tutter · 20/10/2006 10:47

but that's my problem furball, ds is only 17mo and the biggest size is already snug on him

We use 2-3 yrs from tescos on Jess and they are still big on her (and she isnt small!)

I find Marks cut quite small tbh - maybe tescos would be better - 3 for £2.50 or something so fairly cheap too.

Furball · 20/10/2006 10:50

Sorry - just re-read your post. You can get extenders which are a small piece of material with poppers on each side that pop on to the current vest making it a few inches longer! saying that not sure where you get them from.

JackieNoHeadJustABloodyStump · 20/10/2006 10:51

Just what I was thinking Furball - here are some.

Had stopped with my 23 monthers but might stop using them again at night, as they keep removing their nappies. I go in to tuck them up and there are two sweet bottoms sticking up in the air. (You know how some children sleep on their knees lol)

Untill dd was 2yrs 3mths when she was potty trained.
