Oh Twiglett,
Happy Birthday!
Sorry about the lack of cards - perhaps it is just because there is no Sunday post?

papillon · 18/04/2004 09:50

Happy Birthday
tell dh to give u a wad of cash I u will think of something

GeorginaA · 18/04/2004 09:52

Happy Birthday, twiglett!

Agree with papillon, dh should give you an insane budget and let you loose in a shopping mall

bossykate · 18/04/2004 09:55

happy birthday!

i'm sure you could tell dh what to get you - diamonds, holidays, a good book...

Bouj · 18/04/2004 09:56

Oh, poor you! I would have an almighty strop! Treat yourself to lots of nice things. We are having a first birthday party here today for ds - you're welcome to come eat fimbles cakes!!

coppertop · 18/04/2004 09:56

Happy birthday, Twiglett!

Are we allowed to ask how many birthdays you've had?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TWIGLETT

I'm glad you did get a pressie in the end, though your husband should be hung, drawn and quartered (mine is just the same, when I was pg with ds2 he got me a jar of beetroot for my birthday).

You have the internet at your disposal....go shop!

WideWebWitch · 18/04/2004 10:14

Happy birthday Twiglett, I'd be cross with my dp too if he came up with a lame excuse like that.

lydialemon · 18/04/2004 10:23

Just want to say Happy Birthday too!

We're off to a birthday party this afternoon (they're only 4 though) so I will toast you with warm ribena later.

tamum · 18/04/2004 10:31

Oh, Happy Birthday Twiglett!!

I'm sorry it's been off to a disappointing start. Just think, by your next birthday you'll have a dear little baby/toddler with you, worth more than all the presents in the world.

(and 37 seems young to me )

Oh, happy birthday, twiggy!

Maybe there will be piles of cards tomorrow? (It was DS2's on Thurs and a card posted first class on Wed didn't get here till Fri!)

It's mine tomorrow - nearly twins! (Only I'm a bit older....)

Freckle · 18/04/2004 10:56

Happy birthday! When dh runs out of ideas of what to get me, he buys me presents that he can enjoy with the boys. He bought me a huge polystyrene aeroplane for Mothering Sunday, so that he can go and fly it with the children. Well, I suppose I could too, but to me it's a lovely way to get the house to myself

Davros · 18/04/2004 11:55

Happy Birthday Twiglett. I'd have a fit if my hubby didn't get me anything and I'm 44! Nice about the pressie from your mum though I always tear things out of mags etc and stick them in a file if there's something I like, and keep an Amazon Wish List.

lou33 · 18/04/2004 12:28

Happy birthday Twiglett.

mummytojames · 18/04/2004 12:56

Angeliz · 18/04/2004 13:29

" Enjoy thy Birthday revelry,
but heed this goodly warning,
That if thee drinkest too much grog,
thou puketh in the morning."

(Not my own and hardly appropriate but thought you'd appreciate it)

Have a great day twiglett+++++++++++++++

tigermoth · 18/04/2004 14:53

happy birthday twiglett!
Hope you have some lovely cash heading your way from your dh, then you can buy the present he should have given you.

fisil · 18/04/2004 15:10

Happy birthday.

I start the "it's my birthday soon" campaign about 2 months before the date. I am both fortunate and clever in the placing of my birthday. I am fortunate as it is about a month after Xmas, so I get to remind everyone then. I also cleverly gave birth between Xmas & my birthday so that I can say things like "wow, ds's b'day this week and mine only a couple of weeks away!" (although I did of course have one birthday with nothing because everyone else was too focussed on the new baby!) Without hints I would get nothing!

Janh · 18/04/2004 15:13

Mine falls by the wayside a bit:

dd1 Apr 1
dd2 Apr 5
ds2 Apr 15
me Apr 19

we are all birthdayed out by mine!

Flip · 18/04/2004 15:18

Mines tomorrow to Janh!! How old are you? I'm 27.
