Why is my period late? (apart from the bleeding obvious!)

I'm not, and yes I have done a test and it is negative and no I don't want to be because I'll be very happy not to have to deal with another crying, crapping, puking little baby again!

But I should have started on Sunday and I'm not normally late. I'm not even getting those twinges that you normally get although my boobs do hurt. And my dates are right, I've checked and double checked. I'm too young for the menopause and I don't think I'm stressed right now, I'm not ill nor have been. So why would it be late?

Still nothing

seriously, I would take Jackie's advice. Having sex almost always brings my period on.

I would also fix a date in my mind - so say a week late (Sunday) before you allow yourself to really panic. I find that often takes my mind off it.

Rhubarb · 11/10/2006 16:32

I don't want to have sex though!

I know but if it sorted out your period fiasco, then it might be worth the effort?

foxinsocks · 11/10/2006 16:34

oops, didn't mean to make 'know' bold as if I have indepth knowledge of your sex life!

Rhubarb · 11/10/2006 16:35

Hmmmm, can I not have sex with someone else though? dh is particularly smelly atm and annoying and irritating!

Only if you promise to post about it on MN, preferably with lots of misleading detail.

foxinsocks · 11/10/2006 16:36

mmm yes I must admit that is a definite hurdle to my plan (and even more surprising then that you are worried you are pregnant )

how about Jackie's plan and err sorting yourself out so to speak?

Rhubarb · 11/10/2006 16:39

I'll just post a classified on the mens room shall I?

I used to be a regular 28 day-er and was only ever late when I was pg. Since having ds2 a year ago I have been 28 days one month and 35 or so the next month. Stresses me out totally as the thought of having dc3 terrifies me.

My aunt says that eating a bowl of cornflakes brings you on if you're late. Errr....

PinkTulips · 11/10/2006 17:30

what the hell sort of cornflakes does she eat

RottenOtter · 11/10/2006 17:31

wierd!!!

piglit · 11/10/2006 17:52

She told me they have iron in them. "It's what makes the cockerel crow". Oo errr.

foxinsocks · 12/10/2006 22:04

any news yet rhubarb?

cazzybabs · 12/10/2006 22:15

OMG i can supprt your aunts theory. Past 5 months have had 28 day cycle (am trying to kind of TTC, but avioding June, July, Aug babies) so have been carefully watching it to aviod convieving. Anyway due on on Sat - nothing. On tues had cornflakes and low and behold started on WEds. I was a little disapointed!

So therefore it must be the cornflakes right

Rhubarb · 13/10/2006 09:18

I started having period pains last night but still nothing so far. If I don't have one over this weekend I'm going to visit the docs.

Strange thing is, I phoned my sis about this and she revealed that she's late too! Spooky!
