was 3 days late taking the pill a couple of weeks ago................

And now I'm papping myself. My boobs are so sore - just like when I was pregnant with ds, and I think I 'feel' pregnant IYSWIM.

Keep trying to tell myself that no one concieves when only missed 3 pills do they?

Hiya Northener,

Don't want to frighten you, but, if you are more than 24 hours late taking the pill it knocks to whole cycle off apparantly.

I asked my doctor about this once and she recommended that if I was over 24 hours late taking it then i should use other precuations until after my next period.

Another one with news you don't wanna hear.... my Mum conceived 2 of her 4 children whilst on the pill. She had a sickness bug with one.... that lasted 3 or 4 days and that was enough for the pill to be useless!

The only way to know is to go get a test...... GO ON!

Think you need a test Northener. I was conceived after a missed weekend of pills apparently.

Don't worry I'm papping myself at the moment as well - I've got to wait until end of next week though.

This is not what I wanted to haer guys. But I kind of knew IYSWIM!

Would a test work this early? If I am, it only happenned 2 weeks ago.

Should work about now northener. Try now- if nothing then try again in a few days. Are you still taking the pill? I'm not sure whether you should carry on if you think you might be pregnant- maybe ask NHS direct.

Don't want to worry you, but just missing one can be enough. Make sure that you use a condom for the rest of this cycle as well as getting yourself tested.

Out of interest which pills did you miss? The 'worst' ones to miss are the ones at either end of the cycle, so at the start and end of the pill pack.....but missing any is a bad idea.

I am still taking the pill yes. Didn't think about that - thanks Jim Jams.

Just feel really preoccupied at work today. Why was I so stupid. Boobs are REALLY sore, and I'm not due a period but maybe I'm being paraniod.

Hugs to you Sorry to pass on the bad news but I used to work for a company that made pills, so my info is, sadly, right.

I hope that you are wrong about being pg (IYSWIM) and that things work out the way you want them to.

Not a total disaster no. Ds is just 2. It's just that we have not planned on baby 2 just yet for numerous reasons. I can't afford to give up work, but couldn't afford child care for 2, live in a small 2 bedroomed house with no room for 2nd child, probably starting our own business in SEptember so money will be tight.

If I am, we'll manage I'm sure. But I'd rather not be.
