Is it just me who freezes milk?

Saves going to the supermarket every time we run out you see, it made perfect sense to me until I heard a Radio One DJ describing how her flatmate used to freeze milk and how vile and unhealthy it was.

C'mon, there must be other milk freezers out there!

I freeze milk if we are getting a back log and then have the odd carton available if we run out. Why is that bad?

I was oooooooooooooooooo finding this amusing btw. I feel this bizarre need to confess, it felt like being dressed up or something!

Frozen cheese goes really crumbly when you defrost it. If you grate it before freezing, that works quite well.

and, erm, my own..

Wonder if frozen milk when defrosted would still froth OK for cappuccinos?

I read the thread title thinking freezing milk was a paranormal talent - something you could do just by staring at a carton in a special way. I'm so disappointed you all use freezers.

by refreeze I would read it as you can freeze it once but once thawed, dont stick it in the freezer again...

i freeze milk and itas never even occured to me that it could be a problem...

what IS the problem with freezing milk.... anyone?

Freezing milk was common when I lived in Australia, don't know anyone doing it here. I keep meaning to buy extra at the supermarket to freeze but forget! maybe people have bigger freezers in Oz? Also not so many corner shops to pop out to I think...

I freeze milk. Used to freeze EBM as well. Wasn't aware there was a problem- bit worried now
