d/d wasn't invited to girl in class party!?!

Don't get me wrong year 1 now and fair enough if not all class is invited but it seemed like all the girls were invited but mine. perhaps just an oversite i don't know a bit wierd. so i am kind of curious as to know why should i ask or is there more important things in life to be worrying about!?!

as a mum of two, with young children, i would consult a class list to make sure no one close to her was missed out. i think its easy for young children to miss out names from their list, just cos they cant remember them all.

i would also look at it from the parents point of view, but from a different angle. i would want my dd, on her 5th bday next year, to think about the feelings of this 'only girl' not invited, and teach her to think of her feelings.( we're big on not leaving people out!)

we will be have either a huge party in a church hall, where everyone can come- or a small gathering where no single person feels left out from the crowd.

LB- i really sympathise, but please resist the tempation to ask why she didnt get invited!

don't get me wrong ofcourse more important things in life but it niggles me when d/d has her party ofcourse we will invite all her class.

My d/d is very popular and well behaved so that's why i am intrigued. Don't get me wrong she has her moments at home but very good for everyone else. I am beginning to get fixated on this. I wouldn't ask her outright but just throw it into conversation if you know what i mean. I'm sorry but i just think that if she did send me an invite she should have checked did we recieve it!!???

lovingbarney. I know how you feel dd nearly 4 didn't get invited to every party last year but now with the next 3 weekends taken up with 6 parties and the expense of all those Birthday pressies would be glad if she didn't get invited to the next few

is it possible that she didnt get the invite?
ds recently missed a party because we thought he hadnt been invited, but in fact his invite was sitting in his drawer at school!

You see that is waht the annoying thing is i think that this is what has happened but how will i know!?! ok that's it off to one tomorrow and not all kids have been invited. I never had a big party or 18th or 21st the whole party thing is getting ridiculous . That's life ironing is calling yuk!!!!

No, don't ask! The party will be all forgotten about in a week or two. I think it's far more important ot help build an attitude in your kids that these things do not matter.
