Can someone do a spot of French translation for me?

We've had a French wedding invitation this morning and I can understand the basics and the directions but there was a card in with the invite that I'm having a bit more trouble with. I THINK it's about a do on the Sunday in addition to the wedding. can anyone have a go for me?
It says:
"Et pour poursuivre la fete, apres un petit sommeil reparateur, on recommence le lendemain midi.
Bien sur, on compte sur vous tous.
Pour vous eviter les recherches, nous avons reserve des couchages sympas a proximite (petite participation 18 euros par adulte).
Si vous etes d'accord, et nous l'esperons, merci de confirmer votre presence le dimanche pour le 15 mai."

To follow on from the ceremony, we'll have a night to rest and recuperate before recommencing the celebrations the next day.
We really do look forward to seeing you all there.
To save you the trouble we have resrved very nice overnight accomodation nearby (for a small fee of 18 euros per person)
If this is ok with you - and we do hope it is - please would you confirm that you will be attending on the Sunday, by the 15th of May.

I thought I'd have a go, but bear in mind, it is 25 years since I did french O level (I did get an A though )

well merci de ....etc is basically 'confirm your presence/attendance (?) by Sunday 15 May please' I think. I recognise lots of words! But My crappy O'Level french is stumped. There are lots of French speakers on here though.

melsy - if you go the the Google homepage, to the right of the bit where you write in what you're looking for , there is a 'language tools' option. Just go into that.

It's basically telling you that after the celebrations of the first day there will be a 'rest period' before the next day's celebrations start at noon. They'd like you to come to this too. They've made arrangements for cheap accomodation nearby. If you agree to this and want to come can you let them know by 15th May.

I think a 2-day celebration is fairly common at French weddings. At my friend's wedding they had a big celebration on the wedding day. The next afternoon they had a kind of buffet/picnic down by the river.

I'm not sure I could have faced an extra day of celebrating our wedding either. We were off on the honeymoon by then.

My French is pretty bad these days...

Reminds me of a menu translation from spanish into french in a restaurant in salamanca. We were in fits of laughter at the weird names they'd come up with for some of the food. They're classics in our house now...
