Friend of my Mum's worked night shifts but lived on a busy road so had difficulty sleeping during the day - used to use a tampon in each ear as earplugs.
In height of one hot summer she went to sleep, naked, on top of her duvet in the bedroom, one in each ear.

Later that day she answered the door to a grinning window cleaner who asked if she'd had a good sleep that afternoon.....

we did use them (unsued) for santas snow one year for school collage...
The towels were good for logging with water, freezing and using as ice packs impromptu on camping hols
Still do not think DH knows that to this day...

I used to keep a supply for dressing horsey wounds in my past life. In fact I remember once when one of my horses got badly injured I bought about a ton of tesco value pads and the woman at the counter very studiously Not Saying Anything with a slightly quizzical expression

ROFL!!! These are brilliant!

When I was younger (maybe about 6) my Mum took myself and a friend down to the local shops. She left us outside one shop looking after her bag of shopping. When she came out she found us with sanitary towels, the type with the loops, across our faces, loops over ears. When she asked us what we were doing we said "Playing Doctors".

Panty-liners stuck into the heel of new walking boots help cushion blisters, as the school party who traipsed past me on a path in the Lake District will now know.

When my daughter was little she found a sanitary towel - I asked her if she knew what it was and she said" of course- you peel of the strip and stick it to your leg and when you pull it off the hairs come out!"

recently found a stash of opened tampons in my sonds bedrroom during the annual mildew removal campaign... (well we are trying to sell, without the dungeon)
He said he enjoys putting them in water and watching them explode into life... AS if they are Mick Jagger in concert or something...
Very odd
