We have them (or similar) They are the work of the devil and we are doing everything we can to have proper central heating put in as our electricity bill is currently £200 a month plus!

Anyway, they are presumably night storage heaters. You need to have them on at night before they will be able to release any heat, which is probably why you can't get them to work right now.

QuootieSpookypie · 03/10/2006 20:46

bugger that... how do I do that then? theres loads of boost stuff written on the top...

Ah the boost button is for when you want more heat. How many other switches are there?

QuootieSpookypie · 03/10/2006 22:02

theres 2 on the wall, 2 twisty things on the top - output boost and input, one on the front (1-7) and a switch on the front like a sideways light switch.

Try turning them all on (except for the boost) now and see if you have any heat tomorrow. You won't need the 1-7 switch up high. Try 2-3 for now. Sorry, can't be more helpful. Ours only have 2 dials and an on/off point at the wall. One of the dials is about the amount of heat you store up at night and the other is for the amount of heat you want given off during the day.

A word of warning: they are very expensive to use!

thanks! Ill give it a go...
