Not sure about CBeebies events, but I know we had to pay full price for my son at a Disney show a few years ago. He was 2, and sat on my lap throughout!

MEN Arena just says "children". I think generally if the child is going to stay awake and watch (as opposed to babes-in-arms, and some places even charge for those ) then they have to have a ticket.

I was told over 1, when we took our 6mth old to fun song factory last week, hth's

Most arena shows state that even babes in arms need tickets. At theatres it is generally over 2's. You need to check with the venue as each show promoter will set their own rules.

Disney has always been 2's and over need a ticket (there used to be child rates though when I was selling them)

Agree most venues everyone needs a ticket inc babies. Check with individual venues for their own policy. Its down to fire regulations and H&S so the venues don't really get to decide themselves. Smaller independent venues may decide not to inforce this with babes in arms.

Things like Cbeebies you would end up with loads of extra babes due to the type of audience .

I think DD2 will definitely need a ticket, especially at CBeebies.

Why not phone the arena and ask?

UniSarah · 01/10/2006 15:42

You need to ask the venue. its a licence issue every body in the auditorium needs to be accounted for so they know how many bodies there should be if the place is evacuated.
In some places kids under x on laps are free but still issued a ticket.Less likley at things like Cbeebies live where there may be a LOT of lap sitters unfortunatly. More likely at smaller local venues doing family orientated shows.

When I took ds and dd2 to see cbeebies last year they both needed tickets. Ds would have been just 3 and Dd just 6.

Ds sat on my lap anyway, but did need his own ticket.
