Anyone know how to get rid of ants??

We've got a real ant problem in our kitchen. I've tried Nippon poison which was highly recomended on the web but it doesn't seem to be working. we've been using it for two weeks but the ants seem to be worse. Anyone got any tips?

I'd estimate that it takes Nippon 10 to 14 days to kill a nest. If, towards the end of that time, ants from a second nest appear then the period is extended by another 10 to 14 days.
Once the spring is over new nests are uncommon.
The freshness of the bait is important which is why it should be renewed once or twice daily.
I don't know whether they feed at night, so if I were only to renew the bait once each day, then that would be in the mornings.
Never kill the ants when you see them - you'll never get rid of them. Use them to take the poison back to the nest.
