There must be a use or way to recycle them?

I've heard that they shouldn't be used for a second child but does everyone else throw them away?

Fitted as in made to measure type shoes?

Lots of shops have recycle bins now for shoes. I would never pass them down to my other children but have given them to other people who were happy to have them.

ive always wondered this. My dd had lots of £25/30 shoes, that have hardly been warn so the soles are fine , they are just scuffed on the toes, not good enough to sell cos of scuff but certainly sturdy, and fine for the children who have nothing after earthquakes etc.

I'd definately send them to a charity shop. Kids in some countries can't go to school unless they have shoes...

But I'd also keep them as spares for a 2nd child. At £25 a pair, my ds only has one pair so hand-ons from his cousin have been great for when his are soaked or covered in mud or whatever!

Freeycle or charity shop or even give them away here for postage. Lots of people struggle to afford new shoes and are happy to have previously worn ones.
