Tipping the Sainsburys/Ocado/Tesco delivery driver - is this necessary?

What is the proper etiquette for tipping (or not) the drivers on the average weekly shop type delivery?
Tipping has never been my area of expertise so any advice welcomed!

no tip

I've never tipped - I don't think they expect it at all.

No tip here

Pizza guy gets a tip if he's quick and the pizza is hot or if it's raining

No tip here, never really thought about it tbh

No tip as you can't usually check your order until they're long gone and anyway you're paying an extra delivery charge anyway (in theory, you can usually find a code).

Thanks! I thought not. Been using delivery services for about 6 years and have never tipped, but for some reason today's driver seemed to be hinting around. Suddenly thought I'd been wrong all this time!

I wouldn't tip. When I worked in Tesco during summer hols at uni we were told that we couldn't accept any form of tips (& on the training there were some delivery drivers present too).

I tipped at Christmas, only because I'd had the same driver for ages, I was pg and he always brought the bags through to the kitchen for me and continued after baby was born. It was much appreciated and he said it wasn't allowed, but we both agreed to stay stchum

I've never tipped the Sainsbury's man (or rather woman as of last week).
