and what are they like and where did you get them?

I'm having a hellish time trying to pick some nice fabric. I could do with some help.

JoolsToo · 20/09/2006 20:14

also where do you get LA seconds?

I can post a piccy on the weekend when dh is here to do it for me. I'll put this on my watched threads list.

Oh, hang on. That means that I'll have to clear all the stuff off the dining table in order to do it! Only for a fellow MNer would I do this, you do realise that, don't you? Grrr.

IvortheEngine · 20/09/2006 20:20

The Gosford Paprika one was in a big basket with other rolls which were reduced. I think the shop in Newtown (Mid Wales) does seconds and discontinued ranges. I ring them from time to time and ask about things that have taken my fancy in case they have any in stock. Get to know the staff well and they'll tip you off about sales and further reductions. I think one lady told me something is happening on Oct 4th when I popped in last week. Probably a 20% off or something.

JoolsToo · 20/09/2006 20:21

ooh thanks! you;re a mumsnet star

don't worry about your dining room table I'm only interested in the curtains - or should I say 'drapes' [posh emoticon]

OP posts:
JoolsToo · 20/09/2006 20:22

we only get end of rolls in the fabric basket - you know like one or two metres only

I'll have to think about moving

JoolsToo · 20/09/2006 20:23

Tell me, fellow LA customer, what material is it? Don't be too rude, in case I have it, too!

Twatcod · 20/09/2006 20:47

Twatcod · 20/09/2006 20:48

IvortheEngine · 20/09/2006 20:50

I have pretty much every version of pink or red flowers with green leaves on a white or cream background in one form or another that they've done in the last 8 years or so. Even if it's only a metre to be made into a couple of cushions, I yearn for it! Checks I tend not to go for, but there are some nice ones around. {grovel, grovel}

I feel an urge to finally sort out the tip that is the spare bedroom in order to decorate it afresh (used to be dd's room so has pink walls with patchwork hearts border.)

JoolsToo · 20/09/2006 20:52

I can see the top of someones head and its 10 past 12. Also theres a picture of a bloke on the window sill.

my walls are similar to your sofa - I think that was a mistake but its done now (Dorset Cream in case you're interested)

IvortheEngine · 20/09/2006 20:52

Oh, b**r. Just as well I put that grovelling bit in as I x posted with you, cod!

Twatcod · 20/09/2006 20:52

IvortheEngine · 20/09/2006 20:53
Grin
JoolsToo · 20/09/2006 20:53

I made 3 cushions from a remnant of Cressida which was perfect for our cottage but now we've moved I can't find a spot for them, though I do love the fabric its so bright and happy

OP posts:
IvortheEngine · 20/09/2006 20:55

Is that a bright red flower? I've got that in the conservatory on a few cushions. The rattan furniture's cushions are off white so I can splash out on a bit of colour.

JoolsToo · 20/09/2006 20:55

ha ha! is it really? - pmsl!!!

tee hee I have a picture of cod - albeit miniscule

OP posts:
JoolsToo · 20/09/2006 20:57

yes it is - I did piping in a bright green like the leaf, I wanted them in my conservatory but when the rattan sofa (LA ) arrived its more 'natural' and they don't look right on it!!!

OP posts:
IvortheEngine · 20/09/2006 20:57

Shame it's only miniscule otherwise I'd renege (or whatever the word is) on our previous agreement and say that I'd only send you my pics on condition that you forwarded to me the one of cod!

I just went to check the cushions but I'm mistaken. The Cressida is still in the airing cupboard. I've a few with a paleish red rose pattern, a few red dobby ones and a few red dahlia ones.

I must do some housework now. Groan.
