Have just lifted up the bath mat (suckery bottomed one) in dd's bathroom and the cleaner has obviously not been picking it up and scrubbing and it is all covered in skanky greyish black stuff that has stained the rubber. Don't want to chuck it out as it is fun, has a load of goldfish on it disappearing down a plug hole and she loves it (plus cost £25!)

How can I clean the skank off it?

We've got lots of stick on "spots". They're the same as a big bathmat but take up much less space when you take them off between uses. I got them in Focus Do It All.

get that mildew remover, it take anything off and I use it on my shower curtain and the pattern is fine on that....

geekgrrl · 03/04/2004 08:23

just don't throw it in the wash - it frays. 25 smackers thrown in the bin...

CountessDracula · 03/04/2004 09:53

it's made of rubber - how can it fray?

Am I thhe only one who takes her bathmat out once the baby has finsihed in the bath, then ?! I always take mine out and stick it to the wall tiles once the water has drained. It seems to allow it to dry more thoroughly.

GeorginaA · 04/04/2004 09:47

No, you're not the only one! We take ours out, rinse it both sides then leave it to dry draped over the side of the bath. Last much longer that way!

CountessDracula · 04/04/2004 09:49

Oh you two are so organised! Lucky if I remember to let the water out!

marthamoo · 04/04/2004 10:35

Nope, not Lakeland. Where did I see the rubber duckies bath mat then? It was bright blue with lots of yellow duckies on. Damn, where was it?

marthamoo · 04/04/2004 10:38

Urchin!! groovy bath mat

marthamoo · 04/04/2004 10:39

I do realise that I am talking to myself here >

sorry, MM, would rescue you from slinkage but neither cleaning skills nor bathmattery are big in the Inferiority Complex
