because ds is 4 tomorrow and he's having one friend round. He starts back at nursery tomorrow, haven't organised a proper party.
I do feel bad but I'm hoping if I make a den in the garden for them and feed them loads of party snacks he'll let that pass as a party.
PLease tell me it's ok,I feel like a crap mum.

Never had a party for dd until she was 4. Then had a proper party for all her nursery friends.

emkana · 10/09/2006 22:56

Why too late?
Dd was three four weeks ago but won't have a party until next month - she has to earn stickers for good behaviour first.
Doesn't really matter if you do the party a few weeks later, IMO.

Agree with emkana - it's not too late to have one, if you want to. DD's are never on her birthday because it falls during half term. We have a very small gathering on the day, and a party a few weeks later when everyone's back from holiday.

ok ok, I could have one in a week or so I suppose.

Why don't you have a halloween party instead :-)

Earlybird · 10/09/2006 23:10

Seems like you really would rather not do it. Any reason?

brimfull · 10/09/2006 23:11

good idea ali,but it's a bit too far away I think.

no ,no reason really.I just haven't organised it because I haven't seen any of his little friends from preschool all summer.I'll tell him tomorrow we'll send out the invites some time this week and have it next week .
I was purely being a lazy bitch thinking I could maybe get away without.

Well, I'm sure he'll be really excited. Might also be a nice way to get caught up with school friends/their mums after the summer break.

she had her first 'real' birthday party at 4.
