Flea bites from soft play place - would you complain?

Bit of a none question to some but...

Often take DD to a soft play place near us. Took her (with a few friends) on Thurs and I ended up with several awful, large bites on one leg and my hand. DD has none thank god. They were definately from there.

Was telling a friend and she said she got a few a couple of weeks ago and thought they might have been from there too.

Should I telephone them and tell them? Feel really 'dirty' now as out of our group that went on Thurs I am the only one bitten (I do however seem to get bitten before anyone else on hol etc - must like my blood!!!).

If you'd like to go there again just mention it to a grownup looking staff member (our local seems to be run by 16yr old boys) next time when you go in and write it down if there are any comments sheets around. Make sure you say that you've already discussed it with other customers and have heard similar tales.
Re only you being bitten, our new house had a serious flea infestation when we moved in. We wouldn't have noticed it was that bad but DD looked like she had chicken pox, none of the rest of us. I then realised I'd been idly catching them on me and the kids at least once a day and that's not really on is it?
Either DD has an irresistable blood group (she is different to the rest of us) or we were getting bitten but just not reacting.

Thanks for your reply buckets (great name!). I think like you say I'll just mention it next time we go (and spray myself with some repellent before I go!!).

Definitely mention it to them when you go back - its not like these places don't have enough money to ensure they are clean and pest free!!!

Yes! they might not know there's a problem.

Definitely call and ask to speak to the manager - not just any old dogsbody.
