You wanted to keep as many toys in as poss.

Is it an adult room or a play room ?

bananaloaf · 05/09/2006 20:38

usually 14days for cancelling metinks. cant you change rooms around or someting like that?

Nemo1977 · 05/09/2006 20:38

eek no idea but would phone asap.

hewlettsdaughter · 05/09/2006 20:40

Hi, we once ordered a 3-seater sofa which was too big to get into the room it was meant to go in . The people who brought it had brought it all the way down a passage, through the back garden and in the back door - and they had to take it back straightaway!

StrawberryMoon · 05/09/2006 20:41

its for dd's playroom/mindee room and its full of toys but wanted somewhere comfy for reading etc.
our front room is furnished..its from dfs and cant se anyhting on website or contract, they ahvent took any money yet cos its interest free and we dont start paying until after its delivered1

I brought this one and had to snap the skirting board off to accomodate it
I was told at the time I couldnt change my mind...ring and ask.

shazronnieWEARINGSHOES · 05/09/2006 20:43

NORMALLY 14 DAYS SO CALL THEM QUICK AND CANCEL, otherwise you may have to pay a percentage even if you can't have the sofa.

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 05/09/2006 20:43

why not keep some of the toys elsewhere - and then just 'alternate' them. That's what we do (and we've got lots of space for extra toys in the living room!) and the boys get on just fine with ti.

HRHQueenOfQuotes · 05/09/2006 20:44

sorry x posts with your explanation of where it was fot.

OP posts:
SherlockLGJ · 05/09/2006 21:25

Sorry no, it was IIRC an on site credit agreement.

StrawberryMoon · 06/09/2006 09:26

thansk for advice everyone, i have emailed dfs this morning as they dont open till later..we have kind of agreed it is livable as its modular, we can move it around and it doesnt have to look like a conventional sofa being in pieces...but am still wanting to know where i stand!
so ill let you know as its good to know this info before you jump in like me!

lorina · 06/09/2006 09:48

A massive sofa is a true luxury. If you can possibly fit it in then I bet you will love it.

I used to have a huge sofa but replaced it with two smaller ones. Not half as nice!

StrawberryMoon · 06/09/2006 09:51

this one is actually called 'Kool'..very comfy and uber trendy

OP posts:
MrsBadger · 06/09/2006 09:57

have just looked at it on the website (is indeed Kool) - would it be possible for you not to cancel, but to amend the order so you don't get one (or even both) of the footstools?

Mum2FunkyDude · 06/09/2006 10:12

StrawberryMoon, it is sometimes better to speak to a customer service person, or manager about these things, in person its easier to pusuade someone, rather than trying to email and surf the web for an answer. Hope you sort it out.

StrawberryMoon · 06/09/2006 10:28

thanks all, am trying to sort out collapsing roof aerial and possible gas leak at same time, so email while on phone doing others was all i could do after prioritising

will wait to speak to them when open and see what happens
thanks for all advice

OP posts:
StrawberryMoon · 06/09/2006 10:30

and i know what you mea about in person, through email they have chance to think, whereas over phone they have to give you answer straight away
