What do I get the woman who saved my sons life

My son has been battling cancer for over a year and the end of treatment is nearly in sight. He's 17 and we would like to get his consultant a present. What do you get the woman who saved your child's life who 1 earns more in a week than you do in a year and 2 would ever really be big enough to show how grateful you are. Any ideas?

If you write what you've written here, I think she'll be very moved. Flowers/chocolate etc., are all very well, but your words are heartfelt.

A letter/card with words to express how you feel. I would think that would mean a lot to her.

How thoughtful of you. How about a decent pen - she probably uses one a lot?

I like the pen idea. Sounds lovely.

How about a thank you letter, hand written saying what you feel? Things like that are what people care about

A really lovely card, and a photo of your son.

A picture of him with a big thank you , maybe written on it, with a message like that from you? I'm sure that would show how you appreciate her.

I know a lot of oncologists, and a card with a message is most appreciated. I think most would ask that if you wanted to give anything, to buy something that is needed for the ward or outpatients clinic

As said already, a card or letter from you and perhaps even your son ticks the box. Heartfelt gratitude is the gift that money cannot buy. That your son has responded to treatment will be reward enough for your ds oncologist I am sure, as is the reality of him living a long and happy life.

Congratulations on the success of his treatment, my very best wishes to you all Thanks

I would write to her to thank her and tell her you have made a donation to a cancer research charity/hospice or some other cancer related charity in her name.

So glad his treatment is ending and he is getting better.

Agree with poster who said heartfelt message in a letter or card, plus flowers
