Hi everybody - do you have a cleaner, how many times a week does she/he come, what do they do, how long do they take and what do they charge - I live in the Glasgow area so although I would like to hear from everyone obviously anyone in my area would be great!

We pay £7 an hour, 2 sessions of 3.5 hours a week. SHe cleans kitchen, bathroom, hoovers whole house. washes floors, cleans out the fire, empties bins, does washings, irons (if she does that she does less hours and takes it home) and while we were expecting dd2 and I was ill she even did cooking for us and left it in the freezer. When dd2 was born her 'present' to us (not that we were expecting anything) was that as we were away at a hospital on the mainland she came in and did a 'free' clean for us coming home! She also does one offs like the oven, fridge, even kitchen cupboards.
She is an angel and I don't know how we ever coped without her. She's more a 'housekeeper' than a cleaner I always think, and worth every penny.

i live in south hants and pay £8.50/hr. she comes every friday for 6hr, and do all the bathrooms (4) and all the dusting+ hovering. She also clean the owen and the kitchen. The nanny cleans the childrens bed-rooms so she does not have to do them.

£8 per hoour to agency, not sure what cleaner herself gets. They supply all cleaning materials, hoover, mop+ bucket, etc. Apparently this is necessary for health +safety reasons.

Oh, we're in E. Ayrshire, so quite near you!
