do you do 2 hours everyday?

Somebody I know does 2 hours of housework per day, including ironing.

Do you think that's too much?

How much do you do everyday?
Do you hoover everyday?

Somedays do you do none?
And what sort of housework do you do everyday.

Some days I do none, apart from the usual washing up sort.

All depends what you count though doesn't it? I went off layla's original post and didn't count cooking/loading & unloading dishwasher or washing. Also didn't count tidying up DS's toys either.

10-30 minutes/day, I guess. DH does maybe 50% of the washing up, laundry, guinea pigs, sweeping & vacuuming as needed (not daily), lots & lots of tidying up. I do most of the cooking, too.

Blimey I definitely do 2 hours a day, and that's just loading/unloading dishwasher 37 times, loading/unloading washing machine 24 times and of course loading/unloading dryer 24 times. Then putting the clothes away. And picking up after the kids. If you add in cooking and lunch box making it's even more!

Every day I empty and load the dishwasher once or twice, do about 4 loads of washing, hang clothes out or in depending on weather. I wipe round all kitchen surfaces before every meal, cook lunch and dinner most days. I iron for about 3 or 4 hours a week. I have a cleaner once a week. I always have great plans of doing a little extra between the cleaner's visits but never seem to get round to it.

I find it interesting how this has changed from when I was a child. I remember my mum spending all mornings cleaning on the understanding that she played with us in the afternoons.

We did help out though! She hoovered every day, cooked a full meal for lunch time as Dad came home from work and that was the main meal of the day. Every day all the ornaments and stuff came off the shelves and were dusted down and put back. Then the washing and ironing had to be done. She even ironed towels and underwear FGS!

Then beds were changed every week. Toilets done every couple of days.

I just don;t feel the same need to conform as she did. Maybe we are a more tolerant lot of mums afterall

I wish I had a spare 2 hours a day to do housework in. Not that I'd do housework if I had it...

I do washing up/dishwasher things every day. And make the bed. And generally at least one load of washing (although ignore the ironing!). DH generally cooks although I've been doing some this week. Sometimes clean manically, but not often!
