Really weird Building question?

I have been looking at porta cabins for a nursery

Can they be sunk into the ground so that they are level with the ground or do they have to be on stilts?

Also are there any other methods of building which are cheap and insulating?

I know I don't have much chance of finding the answer - but I thought I'd try as MN is such large amount of collected knowledge

A porta cabin needs an air gap beneath it, in the same way a caravan or shed does.
If you reduce or remove this air gap you compromise the design..
for instance if you sank a porta cabin into the ground you would need to create an air gap beneath it, which could flood or provide a home for, well lots of grim things!
Why do you want to sink the cabin to ground level?
There are loads of companies who manufacture/import sectional buildings now, perhaps you could offer to provide a home for a demo??

How do you mean - provide a home for a demo?

The cost of the ramps/stairs mean that a portacabin is very expensive along with B23 which requires the children to have outdoor access the whole time mean that ramps & stairs are impractical
