My sister is planning her annual dance show & has decided to use a monopoly board as a theme & is trying to get at leat two dances out of each colour square.

She has got some ideas already,ie 'We're in the money' for Mayfair ect,but we could do with a few more.Any suggestions?

I heard it on the grapevine for Vine Street

MrsBadger · 14/08/2006 21:36

there are music-hall type songs:
Let's all go down the Strand
Knocked 'Em In the Old Kent Road

and
Jailhouse Rock
Take a Chance On Me
and I suppose you could push it and have 'Angels' for Angel Islington...

more generally...
London Calling
Streets of London

I'm sure I'll think of more...

'i like driving in my car, it's not quite a jaguar' for Park Lane? or some other (better) car-related songs

burstingbug · 14/08/2006 21:52

excellent - that's been hovering round the edges of my consciousness but would not reveal itself!

MrsBadger · 14/08/2006 22:00

the Pogues' The Old Main Drag mentions both Leicester Sq and Vine St but may not be suitable for a family audience...

Milliways · 14/08/2006 22:06

ABBA - Take a CHANCE on me (sorry if repeated, haven't read whole thread)
