Do Companies HAVE to provide a pension scheme for its employees?

I think if over 5 employees then yes they do, stakeholder or otherwise.....

Yes, they have to offer the option of having a percentage of wages paid into a pension of some kind. Where I work, if people don't want to join the pension scheme they have to sign a form to say so - just in case anyone tries to say they weren't offered the chance

I saw a job advert that said you would enter the staff scheme after 5 yrs. Hell of a long time and that was for a huge company.
