How to beat the heat?

I realise this is pretty yucky but I am desperate to find a solution. In this weather I find my back tends to get very sweaty and its really getting me down. I find its worse when I walk about in this heat, especially since my uniform is fairly thick and dark blue, which shows off any backsweat

Can anyone suggest ways to stop this happening? I've tried a quick spray of antipersperant but it's never helped

TIA

This isn;t a short term solution but something that you might want to consider if it is recurrent and making you feel down. Go to your GP, where you can be put forward Botox injections in your back to hinder the sweating, there is also an operation you can have to cut your sweat glands that you might want to find out about. Im sorry it's not much help in terms of a short temr solution but if it happens alot you might be best going to see your GP.

Have you tried a v strong anti perspirant like Mitchum? Also your pharmacy shoudl stock a really strong medicated one which you can get over the counter.

agree aviatrix, if you put wrists or feet in some cooled water, it helps to cool the rest of the body down.

there is an extra strong anti perspirant (someone will know the name...it has been mentioned a few times, you have to get it in the chemist)

I don't know if this work but I heard someone on the news saying that a light cotton vest can actually help with sweatiness (although how that works, I do not know! - you might have to try it at home first!)

excess sweating

if you scroll down to treatment options under aluminium chloride - it lists the ones you can ask for in the pharmacy or get your doctor to prescribe. Hth.
