Hiya Everyone,

I am holding a charity night on 5th March and all the proceeds are going to the 'Meningitis Trust'.

I have asked various companies for donations and though I am dissapointed that some major companies have not had the courtesy to reply, I am more than please with the ones that have, here is a list so far:

Raffle Tickets
£15.00 Beauty Voucher
Bottle of Whisky
£5.00 Tesco Voucer
£10.00 Marks and Spencers Voucher
Basket of Flowers (The shop are even delivering them free of charge for me to save me time).

As there are alot of people coming I do not have enough wine glasses, and kindly a pub around the corner is letting me borrow a box of wine glasses with no charges for accidental breakages (Good job its not a greek night ).

Although I don't feel like company or doing much with how low I feel, friends and hubby say that it will do me the world of good.

All along I have said I will be happy if I make £20.00, so far within the last 24 hours I have received £12.00 off friends who cannot make it on Friday.

I will let you all know how much I raise on Saturday (Hangover permitting).

Rae

Sounds like you've done fantastically with organising all of this. Best of luck with it

Since the last time I posted, I have been donated a bottle of wine and some Avon goodies.

Looking forward to it and nervous at same time, if this is a success thinking about doing it on a bigger scale next year.

I think you are doing really well with this. Have a great night, and well done for what you have done so far.

Well done Rae; sounds like you are doing a fab job!

Where are you based Rae? and have you tried MacDonalds (Golden Arches, HO), local garden centres, Halfords are very good at donating to charity as are Lex. If you speak to Land Rover (I think a woman called Christine) they may donate a trip for 10 round the jungle track (not my cup of tea but a real "blokey" thing to do. (0121 722 2424 ask for Driving Experience). Local Country Houses/Hotels, Oh and the Body Shop are usually very good. Toys R Us, Mothercare, Sainsburys, oh I could go on all night.....

Hiya

Damn Jampot I didn't read your post in time to ask Halford and MacDonalds etc and there is a landrover not far from us.

Well tonight is the night and I have just received some more donations through the post and the basket of flowers I recieved as a donation are divine.

Everything is busy busy now as I am preparing food, tidying round and keeping a two year old happy.

Phew, be glad to sit down later for a drink
