No but am constructing one in my garden
complete with blow up palm trees, a surf board and a rum shack. Oh and a cocktail bar serving rum punch etc

I don't think it's rude, but it might be a good idea to say why you need to know. We have an invite for dd to a party with a reply by Friday on it, and they have said it's because of minimum numbers (also it's miles away - I usually make sure the kids can go to all parties, but this one is a PITA)

I don't think it'll look bossy - not if you word it properly, something like "Please reply by XX to enable us to fill any available places" and "may we request no stiletto heels to preserve our large wooden floor"
