How about a Mumsnet Wine Club?

We could have

Reccommendations in different price/country/grape categories.

Tastings, all arrange to buy the same bottle of wine and have it on the same night, compare notes.

Post any good special offers we see.

Anyone up for it?

Azure, you don't need to be online while tasting! I will produce some kind of template for the tastings and you and your dhs/dps or friends can try the wine, say one bottle a week, and make some notes, then we can compare them and give the wine marks out of 10 for various things. I will work on this today

Think it might be best to move to own topic - Wine club - will ask Tech. Don't know exactly what form the sponsorship might take and it may take a while to set up so don't wait for us but I could forsee discounts to mumsnet members, a monthly competiton/ giveaway, tasting notes and things along those lines.

Just seen this thread and look slike a great idea (although dh knows far more than me) - I also have a tasting sheet which might help - I need to develop a soft copy. CD do you have an e mail ?
