I haven't written a CV for over 9 years, and when I went to update my old one, I found the disk (floppy disc LOL) had warped.
PMSL
That means I have to start from scratch.

Do you know any good CV creating packages?
Anyone a whizz at CV compiling?

There are loads of tips if you Google CVs on line. Lots of different formats to choose from.
Mine consists of :
Profile
Objective
Skills
Experience
Qualifications
Interests

I had a similiar problem and after much looking at an empty screen I finally used an online CV service which basically gave me a template and I filled it in - it cost about £7 - which I know was a bit of a waste but tbh - I just diddn't know where to start and this did help me.

Basically why I want the job & a brief line to say how great I am & why I am suited to the role!

Hi, I suggest you keep it to one or two pages maximum. Put your name address and contact details at the top then list chronologically (spelling!) in reverse order the last jobs you had. Include Employer and role there including duration and a list of 5-10 tasks (include relevant to the new position you are applying for)If you have had a big gap while being at home with kids you could try this: list your skills and tasks completed in one bullet point paragraph and then at the bottom put a list of employers, duration of employment with role/position name. This always makes the gap/break in work look smaller. Good luck.
