Converting a barn into a Nursery......help?

I am looking at (maybe) converting a barn into a daycare Nursery

It is built of breeze blocks and has some sort of asbestos/concrete roof

It is not connected to the mains for anything

I would like to consider fairly green ways of converting it

Any ideas where to start

Obv I will contact the planning dept to see if it's possible before I commit to anything - and I uess I will get a structural engineer/architect involved with regard to the asbestos roof ect

I'm just fishing for ideas really

For flooring how about lino - the proper stuff is made from natural materials, and apparently naturally slightly antibacterial. Also easy to clean.

Love Lino - can you have it with underfloor heating?

I think so - I think they have it in the baby rooms at DS's nursery.

Here you go - apparently it's fine (up to 27 degrees - end of first paragraph).

or rubber is nice...

That's gorgeous stuff, isn't it MrsB - never seen it in RL, but it always looks great in design programmes.

Dalsouple can be used with underfloor heating too (it mentions it on the site)

probably an unnecessary concern but rubber might be a problem for an allergic child? Probably quite rare though

Linoleum is good because it is anti bacterial as well as naturally soft and warm.
