For our good friends here. They are the parents of dd's little friend and they have been/still are very very good friends. We have got them a bottle of champers and some Scottish shortbread but we'd like to give them something a little more personal, any ideas?

Also for dd's friend. I have a photo album that I have put in photos of them both together and a stretch KingKong but again, I think I could do better.

So ideas please. But bear in mind that we are relying on supermarket shopping, can't order online as it wouldn't reach us in time and we don't have an awful lot of money, so creative ideas welcomed.

There, I thought I was doing well with that but now I'm bloody blubbing like a southerner!

When we moved house the best present we had was the playgroup made a scrapbook for ds1 & ds2 with photos of all their friends, and memories from playgroup. It still makes me sob when I get it out, and we left 4 yrs ago!

So I think it's hard to do better than photos.

Thanks Roisin!
Trouble is we gave them copies of the photos when we got them and I can hardly ask for them back now! I have salvaged some for a photo album for dd's friend, but it still looks a bit pathetic.

For his parents what can we get?

A formal invitiation making them welcome to come and visit you as soon as (well, once you're settled anyway)?

Just a special card with a real heartfelt message in it?
