Is small print on film warnings getting more and more mental?

'May contain language' always throws me. Surely people would be more shocked if it didn't. The days are gone when we expect all films to be silent surely.

Does no language mean no written word as well? Is this standard on all films now to warn people of stupid things. Will we soon see 'may contain actors' (but we're not sure just these people kept wondering in front of the camera). 'May contain ducks'. 'This film may contain moving images'.

And the 'may' part - does it mean that there might be no 'language'. I am really confused now. Maybe I am overthinking this too much.

I think it was Curious George that contained the warning "contains no sex, violence of bad language"

SoupDragon · 01/07/2006 20:52

"contains no sex, violence or bad language"

Surely it should just say 'warning crap film - only suitable for children under the age of 12'. I actively look for films containing bad language, sex and violence

ha ha at this thread. Does the over the hedge info really say this? Blimey. It looks deeply crap, we won't be going.
