I got some exam results through the post yesterday (very very late as we had moved house and I hadnt forwarded a change of address etc, dont know how they eventually ended up at my moms - they looked like they had been half way around the world by then but anyhow...)

And I PASSED!!!! I have more than enough credits to go on to University!!!!

Yep great, except no one gives a toss. Not my friends, not my family.... One person said well done... after I reminded them.

Which makes me feel crap. I worked bloody hard for those results.

I had a six week old baby, a 20 month old and a house to run. I would be a college all day, get home, get changed and go to work, not getting in til 2am. I deserved those results cause I really pushed myself but feel like its worthless cause no one else is bothered. My old college friends got there results ages ago and it was a huge thing for them. They celebrated.... it just makes me sad. Pathetic I know

completely take my hat off to you - you've achieved so much, and have every right to give yourself a pat on the back, and hopefully others will follow.
People often think that because it was easy(easier) for them when they got their qualifications that it's just as easy for everyone else. Not the case, as we know!
Take their ignorance with a pinch of salt and celebrate in style - bottle of wine, maybe?
