Dont want to start an argument but why do some parents insist that their dsor dd wears shoes/trainers when they are not even walking. I can never understand why tiny babies wear nike trainers etc. Booties to keep feet warm I understand. They obviously love and care for their babies but dont shoes damage their feet when their bones are still soft??

Davros, it doesn't make sense. Neither of mine can wear T-bar shoes because their heels are so narrow that the shoes come off. The only shoes that stay on are lace-ups (or high ankles, but I tried those for ds and got rid of them because they affected his walking). I've been terrifically careful with my children's shoes, because I've seen the difference between my feet (I wore what my mother chose for many years) and my sister's (she insisted on high-fashion from a very early age and her feet are now a mess). When they wear Bobuxs, or even if they are walking around in sleepsuits, I make sure that their toes aren't compressed, and the worst things, IME for compressing toes are actually sleepsuits - the Bobuxs never press on the toes at all, their feet do not slip forward inside the Bobux. So, he may be experienced, but perhaps his experience is a little out-of-date?

Hmmmm, prettycandles. I do respect him and he does have a lot of experience but I think he is a bit paranoid about it all. However, I have never put Bobux or other types of shoes or bootees on either of my children (I don't dare!) so I have to say I can't see that they really NEED them. Mind you, I'm not big on wrapping them up either..... so maybe its just the way each of us does things overall?

I guess so. We all have our personal no-nos: I won't let balloons or lollipops anywhere near a baby or young child, which makes me rather 'unpopular' at times! BTW, sorry if I was heavy-handed - unintentional.

HELP!
DID ANYONE RECORD CBEEBIES "HAPPY BIRTHDAYS" THIS MORNING ON BBC2 AT 8.30AM? (Thursday 15th September 05)
My daughter's card was read out and I didn't see it (we'd recorded the cebeebies digital version).
I'm gutted,as I'm so sentimental.
The BBC don't record these programmes, so I've no way of seeing my card being read out. I wanted to record it for dd (age 2 today)
I'd pay for someone to record it for me on DVD/video.
