We have bought a v old house in a conservation area We knew we would need planning to change anything and initially planned double doors in the kitchen but this couldn't be done because of building regs re position of boiler so we scrapped changing doors and renovated.BUT there is a tiny window at the very top of the house which has just fallen outas dp tried to rub it down to decorate. Now planning permission takes 13 weeks but we can't wait that long and a local glazer is coming tomorrow as this is ds(12) bedroom and is v unsafe.Do you think I could get away with replacing it without pp It is at the back and not visible from the road. This has all happened in the last hour so can't ring council and don't want to in case thjey say no We have glued said window in place and screwed it but it is not safe

it's a repair like for like replacement so you don't need pp imo

Really? The window itself is a mini mini sash very sweet looking and we will only be able to vaguely replicate it as it is original to the house. We will have to do it as dp says it may hold for a week but not much longer!

tehnically it should be the replication of the original will it be an opening sash

and is the glazier fensa registered because if not then the replacement needs building regs

He is fensa registered so that side is ok just worried about pp but can't wait as there will be no window there
