Sky & Broadband - BT tell me I can't have both!?!?

Basically, I've recently had broadband in, but get very regular messages of 'cannot find server'. Its getting really irritating, so I contacted BT about it. They tell me that because I have Sky, the EMI (Electro-Magnetic Iggledypoopledyop) from the boxes interferes with the broadband giving me an unreliable connection.

I think they're talking out of there backsides as I'm sure I'm not the only person in the entire country who has both Sky & broadband!!!!! Would be interested to know if anyone else has similar probs (and those who don't) then I have some ammo next time I speak to BT.

also, the deal with NTL is far far cheaper tooGrin.

we have broadband, two topboxes upstairs and down on which we can watch different programmes at the same time (as opposed to sky when we could watch it upstairs, but only the same as what was on downstairs IYKWIM?), free landline calls on the telephone and also a very good channel package, all for £50 a mth :):).

We have both.Get microfilters for all you sockets and then the prob will be sorted. We had exactly the same problem and BT were CRAP.
