Somebody said this to me recently.

What do you think - any truth to this saying or is it a load of old baloney?

P.S. don't shoot the messenger - I'm not saying I go along with this, just curious to hear your views (especially since I am due to have a baby boy in April)

I think there are cultural differences. Nonna (Italian) has my dad and uncle running around after her, even though she's amazingly healthy. My mum's brothers (Welsh) will rarely spontaneously contact their mum. Thankfully DH has decided to break links with his mother who is truly horrendous.

twiglett, I have two boys and have always secretly hoped that one of them will be gay. Not only do they love their mother, but you get an interior designer and personal clothes shopper all rolled into one

And anyway, no female strumpet will ever be good enough for my boys !!!!
