I have just started getting the email reminders etc and it struck me that because of the time difference in the US, the reminders are all wrongly timed, for instance i got up this morning and found a Before Bed one had been delivered at about 4am.

My question is this: is there any way you can opt for them to be changed to more local time, and if not, is there anything in Outlook which means you can delay the buggers for a bit?

Giraffeski! How are you?!

lunavix · 09/06/2006 09:40

I got really confused by it, I'd get reminders about some step program that sounded like AA but I couldn't find it! I gave up in the end although I'd love to do it.

LV, I can see the point of the emails because it builds up the habits gradually, which is what i need, otherwise i clean frantically for a couple of manic days andf then a week later crash and burn. I want this to be permanent.

ooh I didnt know you could get it to prompt you by email. I just printed the list and hung it on the door to gather dust Grin Blush

BUT it would be easier if the emails came at the right times.

I don't think it works unless you build up gradually so that stuff becomes automatic IYSWIM.

I did it for a while - and it did make a difference - but eventually found the sheer volume emails irritating beyond belief. I used to ignore all of them except the task for the day.

I think there is some way (in your preferences in Yahoo Groups) to get all of the emails as a digest once a day, but other than that, don't know. TBH I found the website far more use than the mails...

giraffeski · 09/06/2006 10:23

But by the time you got annoyed by the emails had you changed your habits enough to make a difference?

Hmm, interesting one. It was all the testimonials that used to drive me mad. But I think I found it relatively easy to take on the Put On Your Shoes/Go To Bed kind of stuff, it was the regular but simple cleaning and tidying that I found made a difference - so those 'task of the day' emails were the ones I did use.

giraffeski · 09/06/2006 23:23

ah well i have found a way to separate ther testimonials in Outlook and send them straight to junk!
