TV Watershed - am I alone in thinking that it should be later at weekends ?

This was prompted by watching 'Im a Celebrity...' at 9.30pm on saturday night with 10 & 11 yr old DSs. There were the usually jokes and slight innuendo by Ant & Dec and the other contestants but then they started to show clips of Jordan gyrating and posing suggestively in a ballerina tutu (very tight and revealing). They then showed a short interview with her going on about loving sex etc. Not to mention Lord B 'helping' her into her bikini top and touching her nips !

This was at 9.30pm on a Saturday night. The DSs eyes were on stalks and I was outwardly cringing (DH did turn it over in the end but obv has a higher cringe threshold than I do!). It got me thinking that there should be a later watershed on weekend nights as how many older kids are tucked up in bed by 9pm on a weekend night ?! I don't think of myself as a prude but it really did seem very inappropriate for 9.30pm on ITV.

Did anyone else see it and agree or am I truly a big old parental prude ?!

Agree Beety.

On a similar topic to the original topic, our local radio station has been broadcasting 'anti-paedophile (sp?)' ads just recently, mostly aimed at kids/teens not giving out real-life info to people in chat rooms etc.
I appreciate the need for the type of thing they're doing but I'm particularly aware of them while we're doing the pre-school run() and surely I can't be the only one who doesn't want to have to start explanations to a 4 year old ??

Or should I be in MN's view ?

I agree with Coddy too. It's the parents' responsibility IMO.

I agree with Coddy. If they start films any later than they do now I'm never going to see the end of anything.

I'm with Coddy. We have a 'no kids tv (eq Nickelodeon etc) after 8pm' rule, which is kids school day bedtime (8 & 6), but I do monitor what I watch quite carefully. If I don't want them to watch it will tape it & watch it later. Does bug me when they keep showing 'Charmed' at 7:00pm though, as I like to watch that, but wouldn't like dd2 to watch as she'd get nightmares. Do agree with the slightly later change over though, as it is difficult sometimes to change channel quick enough.
Oh, and i HATE I'm a Celebrity...
